- Beach season is just about to officially start… we were very lucky to make it there before it got too crowded

- Behind the Italian flag on the right is a memorial for Judge Giovanni Falcone, who lost his life twenty years earlier, in May 1992, fighting against organized crime. He was killed in a roadside bomb on this stretch of freeway near Capaci. It was a day that shook all of Italy to it’s core and began a very public fight against the Mafia in Sicily that continues to this day.
